Salkantay Trek remote and ancient footpath in the region as the Inca Trail, yet least visited but with much more spectacular views. This trek is an excellent option for those who wish to escape the more congested routes or for those who are looking for an alternative when the traditional Inca Trail is congested. You can see the change in the different ecological floors, from subtropical areas and stunning peaks and glaciers, to reach the Lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu.
Pisco is an achievable climb for anyone who is well acclimatised and fit and is a suitable climb for novice climbers and also is a demanding climb for experienced climbers.
Most of the way is not steep and not technical. There sometimes can be short.
