WHAT IS SAFE TRAVEL?
In October 2020, Peru was recognized as a safe destination since the sanitary protocols enacted by the State comply with the requirements of the WTTC (which in turn are based on the measures dictated by the World Health Organization).
The international "Safe Travels" seal is a recognition of distinction granted by the World Travel and Tourism Council (tourism industry) to tourist destinations and tourism service providers that comply with the sanitary protocols designed by the World Health Organization (WHO). This guarantees the correct application of hygiene and anti-COVID-19 disinfection measures of international standards. Its objective, purpose and importance is to ensure that tourist destinations are recognized as safe and of high quality both internationally and nationally, in order to give travelers confidence and guarantee their safety.
